After completing his Graduate Diploma in Marketing at Natal Technikon (DUT) in 1996, Sbu has had a successful career in the field of sales, marketing, public relations and communications. He has held numerous positions in various companies from junior marketing to executive roles at Richards Bay Minerals and Sibuze Group. He later joined Supercare Group as Sales and Marketing Manager, then moved back to the sugar industry Ushukela Milling where he was a marketing manager before moving to Richards Bay Minerals where he was Head of Communications and External Relations before he founded his own consulting firm SN Concepts specializing in business to business marketing, management consulting and later founded Sibuze Group as Chief Executive Officer. Being the youngest boy came with responsibility of taking out the goats and the chicken from the culvert and made sure they are all in as the day ends. The most important responsibility was not to sell my brothers out when they’d gone drinking. My parents were involved in building the church and transformed it into a modern establishment with up to date facilities. In the 80’s, my dad used to brag that our church had ceiling board, electricity with geyser and proper running water. He blatantly would refuse to go to any other church except for the one he had built, literally with his own hands.We used to drive from eMbumbulu to KwaMashu every Sunday. He requires us to be patient with Him at all times. There was a moment in my life where everything went my way or the highway. It has been a blessing to see them grow from toddlers to a fully grown men. My job is not done, but with God on our side, we will triumph.
